Quilting

Edge-to-edge (E2E) quilting is a fun and efficient way to complete a quilt. I use an APQS Millie longarm machine, equipped with Intelliquilter, to quilt clean and precise designs that reflect the style of the quilter and the quilt. There are hundreds of quilting designs (pantographs) to choose from, and I will work with you to find the design that’s just right for your quilt.

The rate for E2E quilting is $0.03 per square inch for light and medium density quilting, and $0.035 per square inch for high density quilting. For example, medium density quilting on a quilt that measures 60” x 75” will cost $135 (60 x 75 = 4,500 square inches; 4,500 x $0.03 = $135).

Batting

You are welcome to provide your own high-quality batting, or you may purchase batting from me. I keep a few different queen size rolls of Quilter’s Dream batting on hand, but if there is a particular kind of Quilter’s Dream batting you need, I can order this for you with enough notice. Please note that batting must be 4 inches wider than the quilt top on all sides. For example, a quilt top that is 60” x 75” will require 68 inches from a queen roll of batting.

Thread

I use Glide thread for all my quilting, and try to blend as much as possible. If you have a color preference, please note it on your quilting request form and I will work with you to find the best thread color match. Thread is included in your quilting price.

Quilts will be shipped by either USPS or UPS - my goal is to get your quilt home as quickly and inexpensively as possible. If you would like additional insurance purchased and added to your invoice, please indicate the amount you want purchased on your quilting request form.
